The African Children's Choir will perform at 7 p.m. June 15 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1023 S. 27th St. The program will feature lively African songs and dances, well-loved children's songs, traditional spirituals and rhythmic gospel favorites.
Concerts are free. A freewill donation will be taken to support the African Children's Choir programs. Proceeds from the choir performances allow African Children's Choir to raise awareness of millions of orphaned and abandoned children in Africa. Donations directly support the expansion of sponsorship and education programs for the choir children and the thousands of other students and children they represent.
The choir is a production of the Music for Life Institute, whose purpose is to help create new leadership for tomorrow's Africa. By helping the most vulnerable children in Africa today, it aims to help Africa tomorrow. MFL has educated more than 52,000 children and impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people through its relief and development programs.
