GOWRIE - LifeServe Blood Center will hold a community blood drive from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gowrie Community Center, Market Street. Appointments can be made at www.lifeservebloodcenter.org or by calling (800) 287-4903.
Eligible blood donors must be at least 16 years old, should weigh at least 120 pounds and should be in general good health.
The center said the number of blood donations typically drops during the summer months, which can lead to a blood shortage.
