Sean C. Hanley has been promoted to chief executive officer of Citizens Community Credit Union.
Hanley joined Citizens in 2007 and has served as the chief financial officer of the credit union for the last three years.
He has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois-Springfield and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Prior to coming to Citizens, Hanley worked in the banking industry in Illinois for 20 years.
He and wife Kathleen are the parents of Conor, 16; Brigid, 15; and Meghan, 12. The family lives in Fort Dodge.
Citizens Community Credit Union is a financial institution serving members in 33 counties in Iowa. The credit union has eight office locations and 65 employees. Citizens was established in 1940.
