GREELEY - Alpha Roberta Hirl passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Life Care Center in Greeley, Colorado. She was born December 11, 1913, to John Albert Simonson and Ella Elizabeth (Algoe) Simonson on a farm near Duncombe, Iowa.
Roberta is survived by her children, Caia L. Berning of Greeley, D. Greg Horrigan (Judith) of Norwalk, Connecticut, Dennis Horrigan of Greeley, Patricia Longstaff (Jim) of Cazenovia, New York, Reverend Beverly Hughes (Wayne) of Plano, Texas and James D. Hirl (Harriet) of Papillion, Nebraska; 14 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren and 15 Great-Great- Grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment 11 a.m. Friday St. Ann's Cemetery in Long Grove, Iowa.
