James E. Dillard, 61, of Fort Dodge passed away on June 19, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral services will be Friday June 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with the Rev. Shawn Roberts officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his children, Shamika Dillard of Fort Dodge; Anthony Onnen of Des Moines; Nathan Onnen of Pennsburg, PA; Jim Dolan of Des Moines; and DeMarco Love of Des Moines; step-sons, Clifford and Rochester Shivers both of Fort Dodge; Tyrone Shivers of Boone; brothers, Donald Dillard and Jimmy (Mona) Dillard both of Fort Dodge; sisters, Rosie Ann (Dillard) Clayton of Clinton; Brenda Dillard of Waterloo; grandchildren, Jazmyn Dillard, Taliya, Teyah, Treyvon, Tyler, Tyson, Trerza, Mackenzie, and Malakai Onnen; step grandchildren, Maleah, Tyson Tyrone, Devonta, and Javarion; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. and Annie Bell Dillard; brother, Willie C. Dillard; maternal grandmother, Beulah Mae Seals; and paternal grandmother, Weddie Bell Dillard.
James E. Dillard was born on June12, 1951 in Meridian, Mississippi. At Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Meridian is where he was baptized by the Rev. Tim Graham. James worked at the McAninch Corporation for over 20years before retirement. He loved spending his time traveling to see his favorite cousin (the TWINS), hanging out with friends, and having his baby girl cook for him.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
