FD woman facing multiple charges

Police have arrested a Fort Dodge woman and charged her in connection with a methamphetamine investigation.

Heather Hanson, 25, has been charged with manufacturing over five grams of methamphetamine and first-degree arson.

According to court documents, on March 2, Hanson allowed another man to create meth in their apartment. As they were allegedly trying to create the drug, a fire started in the apartment and the man was injured.

Court documents indicate the apartment complex had to be evacuated because of the fire.

District Associate Court Judge Angela Doyle, filling in for Webster County Magistrate Court, released Hanson with supervision to the Department of Corrections on Tuesday morning.

Her preliminary hearing is set for July 6.
