To the editor:
The Angel Ride to "Save the TaTas" Committee is off and running. June has been a very busy month already. We have had already several events and had great success at all of them.
On June 2 we walked in the Frontier Days Parade, sold T-shirts and baked goods at Sneakers Pub. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and purchased a baked item or shirt.
On June 8 we had our second annual garage sale at Community Tap and want to thank Sally, Mychael and employees for all their hard work putting this event together for us. Thank You to everyone who made donations and stopped by and made a purchase. Sally also sponsored us that night at Mineral City Speedway so we were out there also selling our items. Sally again a very big thank you and, for all you do for this cause.
On June 9 we held our first car wash at Kum & Go at 115 N. 22nd St. We want to thank Gary Myers, Kum & Go, Steve Arnold from Aramark, and all the volunteers who helped wash cars and of course all the people who came & got their cars washed. Thank you for your support.
The event this year is on July 13 and 14. Preregistration is at Sneakers on July 13 starting at 7 p.m. - $5 to get in and the Dueling Pianos will be playing. Then on July 14 at Community Tap & Pizza, 9 to 11 a.m. is registration. Riders are back by 5 p.m., then good food, silent and live auctions, and much more fun.
All proceeds raised go to Trinity Regional Medical Center Oncology Department to help with uninsured services, such as wigs, scarves, travel expenses, etc. TRMC services a 75-mile radius around Fort Dodge.
