LASALLE, Colo. - Myron Gilliland, 69, of LaSalle died June 28, 2012 as the result of a boating accident. He was born February 8, 1943 in Lake City, Iowa to John and Ruby (Finney) Gilliland.
Myron married Ulla Jaloszynski on October 1, 1988 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
He worked construction over 30 years and was a member of the NRA and Elks. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Ulla; children, Vance and Michael Gilliland, Elizabeth Pickett, Sara, Jeanette and Kelly Engel; grandchildren including Andrew, Roman, Ashlynn, Samantha, Amanda, Alexis, Dillon and Tyler, siblings, Sharon (Bob) Chisolm, John (Diane), Larry (Linda), Jeff (Cheryl), Patricia (Rick) Sharkey, Colleen (Larry) Zeman, Vicki (Jim) Fenske and Connie (Steve) Caldwell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and a niece.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Service 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Platte Valley Middle School Field House; 700 Hill Street, Kersey. Reception sponsored by the Platte Valley Wrestling Foundation will follow the service.
