GOWRIE Sandi Jane Nelson, age 64, passed away on Sunday, July1, 2012 in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, Gowrie with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Gowrie Township Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 6 at Palmer Funeral Home in Gowrie.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Sease of Gowrie; daughter, Nicole Nelson-Sease(Valeria) of Chicago; son, Dylan Nelson-Sease of Iowa City; sisters, Sharon Nelson of Bloomington, MN and Susan Jensen (Peter) of Arden Hills, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Barbara (Litzner) Nelson.
Sandi Jane Nelson was born on June 1, 1948 at Cheboygan, MI. She graduated from the Prairie Community High School and attended Wartburg College. Sandi was united in marriage with Bob Sease on September 6, 1975. They lived in Minneapolis, Des Moines, and Gowrie. She was a loving mother, wife, caregiver and frequent volunteer. Sandi loved camping, the water, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago Cubs. She was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church.
