LOHRVILLE — Bette Knapp, of Lohrville, will celebrate her 85th birthday Wednesday.

Her family includes Bob and Deb Knapp, Urbandale; Tom and Sue Knapp, Des Moines; Susan Clapper, Manson; and Ron O’Connor, Prairie City. She has seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Her husband of 54 years, Eldred, is deceased.
Knapp graduated from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in 1948 and worked as a nurse at McCrary-Rost Clinic in Lake City for 26 years. She gardens and plays bridge, and has been involved in many local clubs and organizations.
