The Fort Dodge Fire Department got out its ladder truck Sunday afternoon to respond to an electrical fire in an air handling unit on the roof of the Family Video building.

Jessica Pirie, who was working at Family Video, said she saw smoke coming in from one of the air conditioner vents and filling the game room.

According to FDFD Capt. Steve Hergenreter, the call came in at 4:06 p.m. By around 4:30 p.m. the fire department had cut power to the unit, put out the fire and was moving in fans to remove the smoke.
