LAKE CITY — Nate Mayer and Angie Helmers, both of Melvin, were married June 9, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Palmer.
Parents of the couple are Doug and Joan Helmers, Palmer, and Mike and Leisa Mayer, of Lake City.
Maid of honor was Alley Helmers, Avondale, Ariz. Best man was Pat McCaulley, Slater.
The bride’s attendants were Greg Helmers, North Liberty, brother of the bride; Gwen Manning, Kihei, Hawaii; Michael Thompson, Roselle, Ill.; and Calista Oberhelman, West Des Moines. The groom’s attendants were Jessica Mayer, Iowa City, sister of the groom; Duke Davis, Lake View; Shayne Mayer, Parker, S.D.; and Jon Linn, Cedar Rapids.
Flower girl was Halee Hauswirth, Havelock, and ring bearers were Andrew Helmers, Pomeroy, and Cainan Cooper, Avondale, Ariz.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Iowa State University. She is employed in the middle school resource room at Rock Valley Community School, in Rock Valley,
The groom has a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Iowa State University and is an agronomist with Farmers Cooperative Society, in Sioux Center.
