GILBERTVILLE - A Fort Dodge man was injured in a crash on Interstate Highway 380 in Black Hawk County Monday.

The Iowa State Patrol reported that Daniel Flippo, 32, of Fort Dodge, was airlifted to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. He was not listed as a patient there Tuesday, according to hospital spokeswoman Andrea Barker.

State troopers reported that Flippo was driving a 2005 Ford F350 truck southbound on the highway when the vehicle went off the road to the right. When he steered back onto the road, Flippo ended up crossing the centerline and hitting a northbound 2000 Peterbilt semitrailer operated by Jonathan Link, 25, of Sherrill. Link was not injured.
