Representatives from Fort Dodge will be presented with a 2012 Iowa Character Award to recognize the community's character building efforts. Character Counts In Iowa chairman, former Iowa Gov. Robert D. Ray, will present the awards on Friday.
The community is among 13 Iowa citizens and organizations being honored by Character Counts In Iowa.
The awards are annually presented to Iowans who have consistently exemplified the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
