Derrick J. McElroy, who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Brandyn Preston, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
No trial date has been set.
Preston was shot in the neck at a party in May 2011 and passed away from his injuries this past January. McElroy was charged with the crime in July.
