LONDON - Fort Dodge Senior High graduate Lisa (Koll) Uhl clocked a personal-best time of 31:12.80 to place 13th in the women's 10,000-meter race at the Olympic Games here Friday night.
Uhl, a former Iowa State All-American and the NCAA's all-time record holder in the event, finished just behind fellow Americans Amy Hastings (personal-best 31:10.69) and Janet Cherobon-Bawcom (personal-best 31:12.68).
Tirunesh Dibaba, a gold medalist in both the 5,000 and 10,000 at the 2008 Summer Olympics, was the winner in 30:30.75.
Uhl's previous best time was 31:18.07, which came in 2010 while running for the Cyclones.
Uhl graduated from FDSH in 2005.
