Elaine and Erland Carlson, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Their family includes Dr. Ethan Carlson, Baraboo, Wis.; Elise Carlson, Fort Dodge; and Ellen and Mark McBride, of Fort Dodge. They have seven grandchildren.
The couple married Aug. 11, 1962, at Prince of Glory Lutheran Church, in Minneapolis, Minn. He worked 40 years for Dekalb. She is a homemaker and volunteered with Trinity Hospital Auxiliary. They moved to Fort Dodge in 1971 and retired in 1999.
