LEHIGH - Frank Raymond, 83, of Lehigh, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center. Celebration of Life reception will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 1:00 5:00 p.m. at the Lehigh Senior Center. Cremation rites entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Frank George Raymond was born January 29, 1929 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended Fort Dodge schools. He was employed 27 years at National Gypsum and 20 years with Webster County working in the maintenance shed. He was an avid fisherman and loved all animals.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 64 years, Carol Jean, of Lehigh; his children Michael (Lily) Raymond of Duncombe, Andy (Deb) Raymond, Timothy Raymond, and Guy Raymond, all of Lehigh, and Pamela (Del) Christy of Hubbard; 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren, sisters Helen Whelchel, Nancy Mabe and Betty Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his son Franklin "Butch" Raymond, his sisters Maxine Oberhelm, and Dorothy Porter, his father Frank Raymond, his mother and step-father Amelia "Molly" and Harry Lanning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
