HUMBOLDT — A.F. (Whitey) Kuhlman, of Humboldt, will celebrate his 90th birthday on Monday.

His family includes Rick and Mary Kuhlman, Randy and Roxanne Kuhlman, all of Fort Dodge, Kevin and Teresa Kuhlman, of West Des Moines, and five grandchildren. He was married to his wife Betty for 60 years until her death in 2007.
Kuhlman was employed by the Humboldt Community School District, serving as assistant principal and athletic director until his retirement in 1986. In 1984, he was inducted into the Iowa Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
