To the editor:
I'm writing to commend the hospital of Fort Dodge and Humboldt as well as the VA clinic in Fort Dodge.
All are excellent in their service to residents of this area. One of the unique and helpful services are the numerous volunteers that greet you at the curb and park your car if necessary. Another volunteer meets you with a wheelchair, if needed to get you checked in. Then another volunteer takes you to your physician or other specialized treatment. All of the volunteers receive no pay but are available at any time they are needed.
At the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, almost any exam can be processed and now with the new Cancer Center being opened soon, no one in this area will have to travel very far for any type of exam or treatment. All of the physicians are as good as you'll find and provide excellent care and treatment.
Local residents in the Humboldt area are extremely fortunate for the services provided by Trinity at Humboldt. It's such a caring hospital with everyone on their staff and the local physicians providing excellent care and treatment.
Then I must say that those who served in any of the wars (or a veteran) has an excellent VA clinic in Fort Dodge. It's also an affiliate of Trinity Health Systems. To be a veteran and have the service of all the staff ... make serving in the armed services well worth it in itself.
All of the staff are so concerned and follow up on blood testing, any other exams necessary as well as providing the necessary instructions for treatment.
I'm 86 years old and I count it a blessing to have such excellent analysis and treatment for all the above. Both the hospitals in Fort Dodge and Humboldt even call you up to check on the treatment you received while at their hospital. (WOW!)
