The ban on open burning in Webster County remains in effect, according to Tony Jorgensen, the county's emergency management coordinator.
Open burning is prohibited in rural parts of the county and all of the smaller cities.
The burning ban in Fort Dodge was lifted Tuesday, but that move doesn't affect the rest of the county.
In Fort Dodge, recreational fires in fire pits or outdoor fireplaces are allowed. The burning of trash and yard waste is prohibited.
