Dr. Matt Maggio has been elected by the Iowa Dental Association's Fort Dodge District Dental Society as its representative to the board of trustees. He will fulfill the current term of Dr. Bruce Cochrane, who was recently elected as vice president of the Iowa Dental Association.
The Iowa Dental Association is comprised of 10 districts that maintain local leadership and elect representatives to two governing boards, including the board of trustees. Each district conducts business meetings, as well as provides educational opportunities at periodic meetings throughout the year. The trustee oversees the district meetings in addition to working with other IDA officials to encourage the improvement of state's oral health, promote the art and science of dentistry, as well as represent the interests of the members of the association and the public it serves.
Maggio is a Fort Dodge native. He joined his father's dental practice in 1986 after graduating from Grinnell College in 1981 and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1986. He lives in Fort Dodge with wife Laura, and children Sam, Jack and Kate.
