On August 21, 1955, Bob married Dolores R. Dale in Lehigh, Webster County, Iowa. They were married for almost 53 years before Dolores died.

During his life he loved visiting family and friends. Traveling, camping and fishing with his wife Dolores and two sons were a loved recreation and continued when the boys moved away. In his earlier years, he was quite an avid fisherman and would compete with his uncle Jim Semprini who loved to fish, also. Bob loved to raise a garden, and when family would visit Lehigh from out of town during the summer, there was always plenty of vegetables to go around during family meals or taken home when they returned. Robert enjoyed cooking Italian dishes with his wife Dolores with recipes that his mother Seconda handed down. He was a loving son, taking care of his mother and father in their later years. Bob was very talented. He could create or fix anything mechanical or electrical and spent many hours repairing and keeping their home and autos in good running order. He loved the challenge of fixing things himself and was sought after by family and friends to fix or create various things for them. He loved to smile and laugh and was a wonderful singer too.

Robert is survived by his two sons: Ricky Morandi (Dolores) of Aloha, OR and Robin Morandi of Lehigh; three grand children, Crystal, David and Matthew, two great grand children; two brothers, Richard Morandi (Francis) of Corona, CA, and Michael Morandi (Patricia) of New Brighton, MN; and a sisters, Irene Vono of Wasco, CA. His wife, Dolores, his parents, Aurelio and Seconda Morandi and a sister, Josephine Moore, precede him in death.
