WEBSTER CITY - Making its first-ever appearance in its new gym, the Webster City volleyball team earned a four-game North Central Conference victory over St. Edmond Thursday night.
Scores were 25-20, 25-12, 22-25 and 25-21 in favor of the Lynx (6-3 overall, 1-0 NCC).
Kaylee Schnathorst paced defending league champion Webster City with 20 digs and 16 kills.

Morgan Gourley also collected 20 digs for the Lynx, while Ashley Price (18) led the way in assists.
Molly Gilbert added nine blocks, and Bridget Moriarty had seven kills.
"I thought we came out a little sluggish in Game 1," said WCHS head coach Jess Howard. "After that, we came around and started playing really aggressively."
Alli Huss went 12-for-16 on serves with six kills and three aces for the Gaels (5-3, 0-1). Claire Crimmins also finished 7 of 7 behind the service line, while Skylar Berdaus was 10-for-11 serving with 10 kills.
St. Edmond returns to action Saturday at the South Central Calhoun Invitational, while the Lynx host their own tourney that same day.
