The Fort Dodge boys golf team pulled out a five-stroke victory over Mason City at the Country Club on Tuesday.

Led by Thomas Hartley's 37, the Dodgers earned a 163-168 dual victory.

Hartley was runner-up for meet-medalist, placing just behind Jared Lowe's 36.

Alex Hage was right behind Hartley with a 40, followed by 43s from Nate Sunken and Eric Puls.

"This was a huge confidence-boost for the guys," FDSH head coach Tommy Thompson said. "Mason City had beaten us pretty easily in several tournaments earlier in the year, so to come back and get them in a dual, I think the kids should feel pretty good about that.

"For Thomas, that was a great round and should really help fuel him for the rest of the year."
