Bernard Jondle, 87, of Fort Dodge, died September 6, 2012 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Gunderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Shepherd officiating. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Bernard Elmer Jondle, son of George and Loretta May (Harris) Jondle, was born April 2, 1925 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Otho High School and began farming. On February 18, 1946, Bernard was united in marriage to Mary Jane Kallansrud at the United Methodist Church, Fort Dodge.
The couple raised their family of six children and enjoyed family time fishing, camping, and being together. Bernard enjoyed trapping and hunting. In addition to farming and raising livestock he was employed as a mechanic for Case All Wheel Drive. Bernard was a member of Otho United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his children Bob (Kathy) Jondle, Pamela Jondle, Patsy Riedesel, Connie Jondle (Dean Anderson), Ronnie Jondle (Samantha Schmidt), Bev (Robbin) Dorman; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, his brother Russell (Florence) Jondle. Bernard was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Jondle in 2004 and his parents George and Loretta May Jondle.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
