WEBSTER CITY — Marlin and Marian Abbott, of Webster City, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today.

Marlin Abbott and Marian Willier were married in Marshalltown in 1972. They moved to Webster City where he was employed with Northwestern Bell Telephone, later US West. He retired in 2009 after 40 years of service. She works for Lifetouch Portraits.
