The Fort Dodge girls swim team split a home triangular with Ames and Perry Tuesday night.
The Dodgers dropped an 88-14 decision to the two-time defending state champion Little Cyclones, while posting a 54-47 victory over Perry.
Alyssa Nehring (200 freestyle), Nicole Cook (diving), Angie Ellendson (500 freestyle and 100 backstroke), the 200 medley (Elli Rusell, Shay Saathoff, Ellendson and Nehring) and the 400 freestyle (Russell, Ellendson, Nehring and Zoey Miller) were all winners for Fort Dodge against the Blue Jays.
In addition, Russell (50 freestyle and 100 backstroke), Saathoff (100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke), Nehring (500 freestyle) and the 200 freestyle relay (Jennifer Bentz, Miller, Katy Bocken and Carrie Gerdes) all placed second for the Dodgers.
"I was really proud of our girls for getting the win," said FDSH head coach Rosie Ellendson. "It came down to the last event to beat Perry, and we were able to win the 400 freestyle."
Next action for the Dodgers is Thursday when they host their own Gary Winkler Invite.
