Three charged with burglarizing school
WEST BEND - Three people are facing felony burglary charges after deputies said they broke into a school.
Mitchell S. Banwart, of Havelock; Dustin M. Forsythe, of West Bend; and Michael D. Fisher, of Ames; are charged with third-degree burglary.
The charges come from an incident that happened back in June.
On June 25, the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office was contacted about a burglary at West Bend-Mallard High School. According to a press release from the sheriff's office, Banwart, Forsythe and Fisher are accused of going into the school on June 24 and causing more than $4,500 in damage to the old gym area.
The three were released on their own recognizance. No information on their preliminary hearings was available.
