To the editor:
The sixth annual Angel Ride to Save the TaTas was another success. On July 13, there was a preregistration party at Sneakers hosting the Dueling Pianos. On July 14 at Community Tap, 505-plus riders went on the ride. Many others showed up that evening for the food & auction.
We would like to give a huge thank you to Sally Hart of Community Tap and Mychael Mueller of Sneakers and all their staff for their hard work to make this event a success. They hosted this event, helped set up, did a great job to getting donations, food and in planning this event.
There are so many people to thank. Without you we wouldn't be able to help breast cancer patients with uninsured services. Thanks to all the businesses, and all the people who made donations to be auctioned off this year. We couldn't make this event happen without your generosity. Thanks to auctioneers Scott Klingston, Dean Farmham and Troy Anderson for your help with the auction, DJ Rusty McNeil for helping entertain the crowd before the auction took place, Greg Wells and the staff of 3 Eagles Communication for helping promote our event every chance they could - getting the word out to the public for us.
A very huge thank you to the Special Angel Ride Committee for all your hard work all year getting donations and planning this event, and to your families. We know you have given up so much time helping plan this event. We really do appreciate everyone's support. Thanks to Kathy Reimers at Personali-Tees in Humboldt for always being there to make shirts for us.
We will be turning over the money that has been raised in October, Breast Cancer Awareness month. Watch your papers for the ending results.
There will be a walk at the Crossroads Mall on Oct. 14. This we be our second annual walk. Please mark your calendars and keep watching for more information to come out on that. The seventh annual Angel Ride will be July 13, 2013.
Once again, thank you to the public and all those that came out the day of the event. Without the support of the community this event wouldn't be possible. We have helped so many women keep up their fight against this horrible disease.
Every penny counts and every patient matters. Thank you for all your support. Remember: "Early detection saves lives."
