Sophia Hom, M.D., has joined Drs. Mark Berry, Joseph Cookman, John Justice, Denise Sorrention and Daniel Wildes at Iowa Heart Center in Fort Dodge.
Hom received her medical degree from the University of Chicago.
She completed a general surgery residency at Mayo Clinic and a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
She also completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md., an adult cardiac surgery fellowship at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Penn., and a pediatric cardiac surgery fellowship at Denver Children's in Aurora, Colo.
Hom is board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery.
