CALLENDER — Alfred Klingson will celebrate his 80th birthday on Wednesday.

His family includes wife of 57 years, Ardis; Kevin and Marcia Klingson, Fort Dodge; Gary and Lori Klingson, Glenville, Minn.; and Scott and Patrice Klingson, and Mark and Kim Klingson, all of Gowrie. He has nine grandchildren.
Klingson was born in Slifer and attended Somers High School. He farms and works part time at Automatic Service Center hauling transmissions. He shelled corn for many years in the Callender area.
