IOWA FALLS - The St. Edmond volleyball put up a fight against North Central Conference leader Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday night.
The Gaels lost in three games, 26-24, 25-20 and 25-19 to the Cadets, who are 6-0 in the league.
Molly Doster (7-for-7) and Claire Crimmins (6 of 6) led St. Edmond serving.
Alli Huss was 16 of 20 hitting with three kills. Hannah Lentsch was 18-for-21 with four kills.
Lentsch (5), Huss (4) and Doster (3) paced the squad in blocks.
Crimmins had 17 digs, Huss tallied nine digs and Doster finished with 19 assists.
"They (Iowa Falls-Alden) don't make a lot of mistakes,'' said St. Edmond head coach John Johnson. "We set the ball better, but just couldn't get the ball down on them. They kept it in play.
"Without a doubt, we played better than we did against Clear Lake earlier in the week. We had a lot more energy.''
The Gaels are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Hampton-Dumont for a 7:30 p.m. varsity match.
