The trial for Derrick McElroy, who has been charged in the death of Brandyn Preston, has been set for May 14, 2013.
McElroy is facing first-degree murder charges in Preston's death. Preston was shot in the neck at a bonfire party in May 2011, and died in January 2012 from injuries he received in the shooting.
McElroy has pleaded not guilty to the crime.
