WEBSTER CITY - Maintenance on the city's water softening equipment will begin Monday and last an estimated 14 days. During that time, Webster City water will not be softened. The water will be safe to drink, but residents may choose not to run their dishwashers during the maintenance period, which is expected to end Oct. 28.
