There will be a 5K Walk/Run in memory of Jon Spencer on Oct. 14. Spencer passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on June 9. Registration starts at noon, and the walk/run starts at 2 p.m. at the Kennedy Park Bob Huen Shelter.
Registration for the event is $10. There will be a drawing for door prizes following the event. Proceeds from the event will be put toward funeral and burial expenses.
