Thacker joins staff at Berryhill

Robert Thacker has joined the staff at Berryhill Center for Mental Health in Fort Dodge.

He received his bachelor of science in psychology from Morningside College, Sioux City, and his master of arts degree in educational psychology and counseling from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, S.D.

Thacker has worked in the field of mental and substance abuse for the past 27 years, most recently as executive director at Northeast Iowa Behaviorial Health in Decorah. He and wife Lynne have lived in Fort Dodge for the past nine years and have six grown children and 13 grandchildren.

He is the new clinical supervisor at Berryhill and is replacing longtime Berryhill director and supervisor Jim Burr, who will be retiring at the end of the year.
