The Charles Dick Medal of Merit was presented to State Sen. Daryl Beall during the 134th National Guard Association of the United States General Conference at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nev.
Beall has served in the Iowa Senate for almost a decade. He has supported numerous legislation and initiatives that have had direct and positive impacts for the soldiers and airmen of the Iowa National Guard. One of his achievements was the funding of the National Guard Education Assistance Program, which provides college tuition assistance to members of the Iowa National Guard. He also worked to fund the Injured Veterans Grant Program that provides financial assistance up to $10,000 for wounded service members.
