The Fort Dodge Community School District Foundation is holding its 13th annual dinner and dance Saturday at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn & Suites.
The fundraiser is the largest of the year for the Foundation, with all proceeds benefiting the Fort Dodge Community School District.
The evening will feature a buffet dinner, silent and live auctions, raffle prizes (need not be present to win), including a brand new car or $7,500 in cash, fun games and dancing.
The Foundation's goal is to support and elevate the schools and students to a higher level by providing resources that are outside the scope of the District's budget. The Foundation funds programs and activities that promote academic, artistic and athletic excellence.
A quarter of the funds raised through the evening are placed into an investment fund with the purpose of generating long-term support for the schools.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. The cost includes appetizers and all-night, unlimited dessert table, and can be purchased at the FDCSD main office at 104 S. 17th St.
The event will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight. Casual attire is welcome.
