Dodgers play at Perry

PERRY - The Fort Dodge volleyball team went 1-2 at the Perry Invitational on Tuesday.

The Dodgers (8-22 overall) lost to Roland-Story 21-11, 21-18 and Mallard 21-17, 21-19.

They defeated Des Moines North 21-11, 21-6.

"It was nice to bounce back against North,'' said Fort Dodge head coach Toni Cochrane. "We went back and forth with the other schools and it came down to closing the matches again.

"We finished positvely with a lot of energy.''

Tiana Mericle had 11 kills, and seven blocks for Fort Dodge.

Ashley?Altman had 11 kills.

At the service line, Mariah Knutson was 14-for-15 and Jaci Cochrane was 15 of 16 with two aces.

Knutson had eight digs and Cochrane had 10 digs.

Maddie Egli had 20 assists and seven digs.

Abby Shimon had six assists.

The Dodgers are back in action on Thursday when they host Mason City for Parents Night.
