NEWTON - The Miss Iowa USA and Miss Iowa Teen USA competitions will be held today. Miranda Erickson, of Fort Dodge, will compete.
The contest will be held at 4 p.m. today at the Newton High School auditorium, and include three segments: evening gown, fitness/swimwear and a personality interview.
The winners of these competitions will compete in the national Miss USA and Miss Teen USA next spring. Thirty contestants at this year's pageants will receive college scholarships.
