A concert featuring trumpet and organ will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St. A freewill offering will be taken during intermission.
Performing are two faculty members from Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb. Philip Pfaltzgraff is an accompanist, organist and composer, with an Iowa connection through his work as organist at the summer Cedar Falls Bible Conference. He specializes in improvisation and is the author of a number of sacred organ and choral works.
David Bonhert, trumpeter, is professor of music and director of bands at Wayne State and a regular player with multiple groups including the Touch of Brass, the Sioux City Symphony and the Sioux City Municipal Band.
A reception will follow the concert.
