To the editor:
I would like to show my support for Webster County supervisor candidate Breck Johnson. Breck is one of the hardest working men I know. He works a full-time maintenance coordinator position at Trimark Physicians Group (which often means being called into work at any hour of the day) and he runs his own custom cabinet business. Breck also keeps busy with a couple of volunteer groups - BASIC and It Gets Better FD. These two groups were founded by Breck and some close friends and family. BASIC is a group that reaches out to people who may be down on their luck and are working to turn things around. It Gets Better is a nonprofit organization that is working to end bullying in Fort Dodge and to empower our youth so that they may become the future of Fort Dodge.
Breck has been involved in Cub Scouts as an assistant den leader, has participated in many cleanup efforts throughout the county, and is a great steward of the environment.
What does Breck want for our county? Quality of life, simply put. Breck views the ag park as a huge part of our county's future. He will diligently work with city leaders and the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance to ensure the continued growth at the Ag park.
Public safety is also important to Breck. He wants to work for the Sheriff's Department to make sure the county has adequate staffing on duty to protect the citizens. He will work with volunteer fire departments to make sure they have the equipment and training to safely do their job.
Breck, being an avid fisherman, understands the need to protect our environment so future generations may enjoy the outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting, or simply hiking and kayaking.
I urge you, on Election Day, vote for Breck Johnson. He is the man who will work for future generations of Webster County. Thank you.
