Luetta I. Lightfoot, 82, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Marian Home.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. The visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Luetta is survived by her husband Dale; her son Ron Foster; her daughters, Linda Leonard, Omaha, Neb.; Laura D. (Gary) Eastwood, Fort Dodge; stepchildren, Alan Lightfoot, Clarann Lightfoot, Paul Lightfoot and Lynn Lightfoot; six grandchildren, Troy Leonard, Tammy Pallos, Cain Eastwood, Colleen Eastwood, Chase Eastwood and Abbie Leonard; six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Larry and Lanny Leonard and her sister Lois Duskin.
Luetta Iona Lightfoot, the daughter of Henry and Alma (Hansen) Clemsen, was born November 5, 1929 in Exira. She was reared and educated in Atlantic and attended beauty school in Des Moines. Luetta was united in marriage to Lyle Leonard in Atlantic. Luetta lived in Rockwell City and Manson while working for Tony Kart Company. She moved to California in 1984 and lived there until returning to Iowa in 1995. On February 2, 2002, Luetta was united in marriage to Dale Lightfoot.
Luetta was a foster grandparent. She enjoyed baking, cooking and growing flowers. Luetta treasured time spent traveling and camping.
