ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Dale C. DeFoe, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa, great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 3rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery with military rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born July 20, 1936 to Louis and Violet (Spirak) DeFoe. Mr. DeFoe married Ellen Kay (Sullivan) on June 23, 1957 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fort Dodge, Iowa and was involved in Alzheimer's Foundations and many other charities. Dale enjoyed people and always had a story or joke to tell, loved his food and cars, but most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Violet; and sister, Karen Taylor (Duane).
Survivors: wife, Ellen; two sons, James DeFoe, Kansas City, Missouri, Troy DeFoe (Susan), Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Tami DeFoe, Kansas City, Missouri; three granddaughters, Melissa Christman (Tom), Brigitte Hoffman, Rachel Martinez; three grandsons, James DeFoe, JR, Houston Tanner DeFoe, Jacent Hood; sister, Donna Michalski (Joe), Fort Dodge, Iowa; brother-in- law, John Sullivan, Fort Dodge, Iowa; and 13 great grandchildren.
