To the editor:
Merrill Leffler has a strong connection and commitment to Webster County. He is a terrific candidate for office of county supervisor. His great-great-grandfather was one of the original settlers in Fort Dodge arriving in 1855. Merrill followed in his footsteps so to speak by also becoming a Realtor and working in real estate. His deep roots motivated him to want Webster County to prosper for years to come. He wants Webster County to be attractive and productive for his children and for your children and grandchildren for generations to come.
He has broad experiences in business as well as farming as a partner in a family farm partnership. He is familiar with budgeting and financial analysis both in the business sector and also the public sector, serving on the school board. He is thorough with the ability to pay attention to the details of transactions and documents. He is very fiscally responsible and very attentive to efficiency and very attentive to efficiency and wise use of tax dollars.
His work in real estate and farm operations have enabled him to understand the importance of maintaining and enhancing infrastructure including bridges, roads and farm drainage systems.
Merrill is open-minded, has no axes to grind, and has demonstrated the ability to work with others for what he believes best for our county and region. His work with construction and housing will suit him well as the area progresses.
We hope you will join us in supporting Merrill Leffler for county supervisor on Tuesday.
