Fort Dodge will play host to some of America's foremost swimmers this weekend.

During a series of events today, five-time Olympic gold medalist Ian Crocker will meet with Fort Dodge students, as well as making a presentation at a dinner sponsored by the Fort Dodge Swim Club that will also feature Dagny Knutson, the fastest high school swimmer in the country.

Additionally, Crocker, Knutson and Olympic silver medalist Jimmy Feigen will participate in a swim clinic Saturday, in which young people in Fort Dodge will have the opportunity to spend four hours learning champion performance techniques on all four strokes and understanding how the body, mind and heart affects swimming.

The Swim Club program was made possible through the work of numerous business sponsors in the region.

We commend their efforts and congratulate the Fort Dodge Swim Club for constructing this worthwhile event.
