To the editor:
I would like to comment on the endorsements that state Rep. Helen Miller has received. Endorsements let the public know that a candidate has been available and willing to work with an individual constituent or group to help them resolve their problems or concerns. Some of the endorsements she has received are from groups which are viewed as more conservative - Iowa Farm Bureau and the Iowa Association of Business and Industry. Others are from groups like the Iowa State Education Association, Iowa Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees - more left-leaning in many people's eyes.
These endorsements show that Helen is someone who listens to everyone, does her homework and makes every effort to be fair in helping constituents to resolve their own concerns and problems. Let's send her back to the Iowa House.
