The U.S. Small Business Administration recently recognized Great Western Bank as a top lender in Iowa for Fiscal Year 2012.
Great Western Bank approved 27 SBA-guaranteed loans worth more than $16.3 million to small businesses in Iowa.
With 46 branch locations and deposits in excess of $1.5 billion, Great Western Bank is the fifth-largest financial institution in the state.

Overall in Iowa, the SBA guaranteed 592 loans for $252.1 million during Fiscal Year 2012, which ended Sept. 30.
