State Rep. Helen Miller, D-Fort Dodge, easily defeated Republican Matt Alcazar in House District 9.
Miller beat Alcazar by a margin of about 60 percent to 40 percent in a rematch of the 2010 race.
House District 9 includes Fort Dodge and northern Webster County.
